Meet the Photographer

Hi, I’m Kaitlyn—a dancer turned photographer with a deep love for movement and storytelling. I spent 20 years of my life dancing, from early studio days to performing as a D1A collegiate dancer at San Diego State University. Dance shaped who I am—it's where I found discipline, expression, and joy.

When I retired from performing, I knew I wasn’t ready to leave dance behind. That’s when I picked up a camera—and everything clicked. Photography became my way to stay connected to the art form that raised me. Now, I get to capture dancers in their element.

My biggest inspiration to get behind a camera was my mom. Growing up, I watched her build a successful preschool photography business while documenting the lives of our family with care and creativity. She showed me how photography can be both a profession and a deeply personal form of storytelling. Now, I’m proud to follow in her footsteps—bringing my own vision, shaped by my experience as a dancer.
